Bodywork
Wellstone Acupuncture treatments often utilize various forms of body work, which are important to the healing process. Below are a few of the types of body work used:

Cupping utilizes glass "cups" to create a partial vacuum over the skin. The pull of the vacuum is akin to a reverse massage, breaking up bound connective tissue and muscles and bringing blood to the area to promote healing.

Shiatsu Massage is a Japanese form of body work that is
deeply relaxing and can reduce pain and tightness.

Tui Na Therapy
is sometimes called Chinese physical therapy. It uses massage as well as other manipulation techniques such as shaking, stretching and joint movements. Many patients remark that after a Tui Na session they paradoxically feel both relaxed and invigorated at the same time.
